I have been handcrafting Bamboo Fly Rods since 1996.  All my rods are hand planed from the rough planing stage though the final planing stage.    Now that I am older , age 62 with 18 years of rod making under my belt I only make  a hand full of rods per year.   I  start to varnish rods around April and continue into the summer.   For a peek   into my life read the Article Published in Timber Times written by Reporter/Writer Pamela Lawson.
